Robert Sinclair joined Bristol Airport as Chief Executive Officer on 20 October 2008, bringing a broad range of airport management and general business experience with him to the role.
Since joining Bristol, Robert has worked with his senior management team to lead the business through the recent recession in the UK, positioning the airport for a rebound in passenger growth, delivering improved airport facilities and services and securing the planning application to significantly expand the airport. He has also been instrumental in creating a new brand and vision focused on improving the passenger experience.
Prior to his role at Bristol Airport, Robert was Chief Financial Officer at Auckland Airport with responsibility for the finance, strategy, corporate affairs and IT divisions at New Zealand’s international gateway airport handling more than 13 million passengers per annum.
Robert is a qualified lawyer and chartered accountant. He is a Director of the Airport Operator’s Association, the UK’s airport trade association, and has recently been appointed to the Board of the West of England Local Enterprise Partnership.
Robert lives in Somerset with his wife and two children.
